Topic: assigning decks to left or right channel

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

I've used VirtualDJ Pro in the past but decided to purchase Home for my own use. I am trying to find a way to assign the left deck to the left audio channel and the right deck to the right audio channel. Pro used to do that but i don't see it available in Home. Can someone suggest a way for me to do this? Thanks.

Hi there is the limitation on the home edition. You can't use the external hardware etc.

The best bet is to use the pro edition which i believe you have a discount as you own the home edition.

Hope to see you soon as a pro user;)

don't know if this will help you but you could try it...

basically if you cant follow the clip

go to config

soundsetup

outputs > external mixer

soundcards > mono seperated

output channels give you white lead/left channel red lead/right channel to your mixer

you will have to use a y splitter for each channel to get dual inputs into mixing desk

which of course will only give you mono sound output
