Topic: Share your VDJ Success stories here =Þ

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

OK so like most people here, I'm a 'die-hard' VDJ fan, and have been for over 4 years, I simply love the product.

The problem as the saying goes, 'No news is good news' there's no surprise the VDJ forum has more 'I'm having a problem' posts rather than 'I'm a happy user' posts.

In an attempt to level the score a bit I'm asking all you people like me who simply LOVE VDJ to share your success stories.

So here's mine;

DJ Auz here; VirtualDJ has completely changed the way I interact with music. I have been using the software for over 4 years, and still cannot get over it's reliability, usability, functionality and unrivaled feature list, online community and dedicated radio station! I recommend VDJ to all my friends and customers. VDJ has truly helped me get my DJ career off the ground, so THANKS ATOMIX! =Þ

i'm still employed, and can still use it at work... good enough for me.

Started using VDJ with V3.4 have been happy with it since 4.0, been really happy with it since v5.0 and EXTREMELY happy since 5.2.

I play clubs mostly and the occassional mobile gig if asked from San Diego, LA/Orange County, Las Vegas and mostly Phoenix. Use it consistantly 3 times per week, sometimes 6 nights per week, do almost exclusively video, it's my career and I make a very nice living (well, beats working at Wal-Mart or Diggin Ditches anyway).

Just per chance I was in one of the old clubs in Phoenix I used to work at and we used to do 1200-1400 poeple weekend per night and 400-500 on Wednesday nights when I was there and tonight they had 40! The Dj was doing a few videos but was not mixing them, just randomly dropping them into his set using OTS-AV Pro........definitley not pro by VDJ standards!

i am a professional dj 14 years in no 9-5 here. i play in 3 clubs a week doing video only. i have regular private events with audio and video only setups. i was a die hard serato fan for the last few years until i needed to start mixing videos. well after a bunch of research i found Numark Cue or VDJ. I switched over to cue 100% a little over 2 months ago and am VERY happy with its performance. I had some issues in the begining with my controller not respodning right but got that all sorted out. I also upgraded my laptop, i wanted a better video card and laptop for mixing video. it works on my other gig machine but not as smooth as i like it to be. I can say that for the last 2 weeks (knocking on wood) i haven't had ANY glitches that i didn't cause. FYI i don't just hit play i work the system, doubles, cutting, blends multiple video effects going on at the same time etc. I will def tell anyone who asks its a great purchase.

Been djing for about fifteen years and even though I always like to have the new toys, really thought I'd be the last to go digital. Then PCs (or the operating systems they run on) finally got reliable enough to use for djing. Timecode was the big breakthru for me though - I could mix and scratch the same way I always have plus all the benefits of digital like on the fly samples that I dont have to loop and beatmatch first and of course, video mixing. Totally stoked!!!!

Downloaded all the different software available and bought a conectiv so I could see what worked best. There was no doubt as to the winner - VDJ does take some tweaking to get working right with your hardware (and I also ended up buying a new pc for the video task ;) but the benefits are simply way ahead of the competition. I dont want to turn this into a Serato vs VDJ argument but I have used both (given that Serato was born here and almost everyone with timecodes uses it except me haha) and it does do the basics extremely well - possibly even better than VDJ, but if you want to push the dj envelope, IMO there is only one option.

I got Renee to make me a " short production" ..........

I've been a "working DJ" since 1995. (Working as in----> I quit my day job)
I went "digital" with ATOMIX in 2004. (Notice my fancy Icon to the left)
I went full video with VDJ in 2006.
I went "All the way" when I was 16.
I use VDJ 3 nights a week, 5 hours a night and my crashes are so rare I call them "acts of God" and not a software issue.

VDJ is more reliable than my cable company, my car, or my C-batteries.
So far the highlight of my career was producing the Chucky Family Reunion Video.

I use VDJ on a regular basis. Whether at weddings, or mixing, and broadcasting, it has only crashed on me once. The crash was static related, not software related. Since I have switched over too all PC DJing. I bring two laptops to every show and do not even bother carrying CDs anymore. I made my switch from CDs to VDJ/CUE three years ago, and have not looked back. I use VDJ with a variety of controllers/sound cards and have zero issues!!!! None, what so ever.....

I downloaded a cracked version to "try this thing out"

2 weeks later I bought the legit version.

I've used it in nightclubs , strip clubs, video dj'ing, weddings, mobile events, webcasting, and even webcasting a video stream
I use an antiquated DAC2 controller and a brand New DMC2 controller and haven't touched a CD from my subscription service for almost 3 years.

I haven't seen anything even come close to the features and reliability to VDJ.
