Andrew did you find a non command line front end for ffmpeg that most users can deal with. I haven't found one for pc however visual hub works wonders on the Mac.
Yeah I made one in .NET, discobrian gave it a go and it worked fine. It automates the above syntax which does a direct stream copy of the video/audio so it's very quick, 1-2 seconds per video, I'll do some interface refinements and post it later.

Jason worked with Andrew last nite for a few hours, as well as used his tool, and man I am impressed. The guy knows his stuff. And out of all the vids I did I only have 2 in which cant be changed. I am now up to 30 vids that I didnt have before and am a happy camper.

Guys seriously this tool is great, it doesnt effect the quality of the file. If u need to get vids quick shoot over to I Tunes and get some of their I Tunes Plus vids, run through his lil tool and BAM u have great vid, no watermarks, no titles, etc.

Some FYI - http://apple.slashdot.org/article.pl?sid=09%2F01%2F13%2F036211&from=rss
"Apple's iTunes Plus files are DRM-free, but sharing the files on P2P networks may be an extremely bad idea. A report published by CNet highlights the fact that the account information and email address of the iTunes account holder is hidden inside each and every DRM-free download. I checked, and I found I couldn't access the information using an ID3 tag editor, but using Notepad I found my email address stored inside the audio file itself."

Thats good to know, dont plan on sharing here.

I'm not sharing either but the thought of having my email address in the metadata violates my privacy not to mention it pisses me off as well.
this will remove it

It's not really any worse than Virtual DJ having our e-mail address stored in the executable. The download links for that program don't work either? My tool creates a new file without any metadata including your name/e-mail, maybe I'll create an update which puts the metadata back into the copy, depends if taglib# supports mp4 or not.

Andrew that's not a fair comparison, however if you send an message to eservice I'm sure they would grant such a request. Software really isn't the same as video or audio files though ;)

I don't care if my e-mail is in the file. I'm the only one who uses the file. I'd rather have my e-mail in there then have that damn DRM on it.

I may sound stupid for asking this but....What Is DRM??? I have never really used iTunes so I don't know.
Whats the deal with iTunes anyway? Is it really that good?
Whats the advantage?

Oh.... Makes sense.
I may want to go and get an iTunes account now.
Is it worth it?
What are the advantages. Any disadvantages?

There arent alot of vids now, but certainly worth the account. You MUST make sure you do a powersearch for videos that are I Tunes plus. The other vids will not convert or play.
