Topic: Automix Playing MP3s that are already mixed

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

Hi i've been trying to figure this out but cant find anywhere

I have some Mix CD's ripped to MP3 as seperate tracks
When I try to play them through Virtual DJ (automix), I can never replicate the exact same sound as what I would get if I played them from CD's.

No matter what setting I tried in Automix (and I have tried every single combination) there is either:

1) a very small audible gap between the 2 tracks; or
2) a very small audible overlap between the 2 tracks

I can never get it perfect, I dont want to crossfade them because they have already been mixed to sound the best by the original mixer.

Can anyone help with this please? I am willing to provide a sample of how it sounds if someone thinks they can suggest something.
Thanks

acDC

By the sounds of what you're saying the problem is not with your Atomix product, but with the software you used to rip the audio to MP3.

Try checking your settings in the ripping software for CD ripping, or try another product, there's plenty of free software around, I use 'Free CD Music Convertor' where you can get from here ; http://www.poikosoft.com/

I have never experienced these problems before with VDJ Pro!

Good Luck!

The best (in my opinion) CD ripper is Exact Audio Copy (EAC). It's free, just google it.
