Die Geschichte des Techno beginnt in den frühen 1980er Jahren in der Stadt Detroit. Als einer der wichtigsten Vorreiter gilt Juan Atkins mit Projekten wie Cybotron und Model 500. Tracks wie „Alleys of Your Mind“ (1981), „Clear“ (1983), „Techno City“ (1984) und „No UFOs“ (1985) legten den Grundstein für das, was später als Techno bekannt wurde.Die Reise durch die Underground-Kultur:
