I'm getting something really screwy going on with my VDJ software.
I go to open VDJ and I get a prompt that says VDJ is already running, and I also get an error that says that VDJ had a problem opening my database. Please see the image below where says that the database in c could be not be opened and the database in d could not be opened. (The D drive is where i have my music files. it looks like I made a Virtuel DJ foldere there in 2015

OK. I did a restore DB and the program went through all the motion and said that the DB was restored. As a matter of fact, you can see in the screen shot that i did several rtestortes. I did them because I thought that once I did a restore that i'd see my history and my lists again, but I don't see them. I can see the history folders, but there are no songs listed in them.
Now the strange thing is that when i open the historical M3U file from windows i can here the music in the windows player. so the file and the music is there. it's just not showing in VDJ.
a shot of my windows file explorer showing the backups I did
a shot of my VDJ browser window. you can see the history for today. There should be one song there there is none. And if I highlight the lists folder or the filters folder, it will not even expand to show the keys BPMs or anything.
Anybody ever run into this before?

I did a database restore and VDJ gave me this.
.
Also here is a screenshot of the windows directory where my VDJ program uploaded to. It shows the history file folders and the music that is in the files folders but when I open VDJ, I see the history folder but there is no music file showing.
Another thing I notice is that on my computer I can see the "My Library.subfolders" file folder and I can see all the subfolders , but when I open VDJ i no longer see the "my Library folder it has disappeared.
IN VDJ, I'm looking to get my history music files to show up in the history folders that i see there and I'm also looking to get My Library to show up, as well as the music that is in my library folder.
Can any one assist?

This reminds me the situation where user uses Documents\VirtualDJ folder to store data while the software now uses AppData\Local\VirtualDJ
I can see from your screenshot that you're reading the new location.
However I'm not sure if you have messed from where your PC reads the database.
1) Start VirtualDJ
2) Open Configuration
3) Click the "Options" tab on the left
4) Click the small cog icon on the bottom right corner of the config window
This should open the location where VirtualDJ reads all it's data from.
Does this location match the one you're looking for ? (AppData\Local\VirtualDj)
Are there your files still there ?

Whew...........I finally figured out what the problem was.
it was a hung VDJ process in windows.
Ok, so here's the trip of the whole thing. when i was opening VDJ, windows would say that "VDJ was already running" and then open up VDJ anyway. SO i was thinking that this was the one that was already running. so i closed VDJ and tried to eject my music drive, but it wouldn't eject became something was using it.
i opened up resource monitor and discovered that VDJ had it opened. SO i asked myself, how could VDJ have it opened when i just closed VDJ.
I went over to task monitor and did not see VDJ in the task list, but the resource was saying that VDJ had the music drive open. this confused me.
So i went back to task manager and opened up the process list and sure enough there was a VDJ process listed. I tried to end it but my access was denied.
I tried to run task manager as administrator and access was still denied when i tried to end the VDJ process.
so i shut the PC down and unplugged the music drive and opened VDJ got the same old thing, "VDJ is already running" and then VDJ opened up. it opened like normal....all the folders there and everything. So that let me know that it was accessing the database on C drive and that it was OK.
This time when i went to task manager I saw two VDJ tasks so I ended one and the VDJ program shut dowm. Then I ended the other task and it went away too. (Boy was I happy dude!!!)
SO i shut the PC down again and attached the music drive and then VDJ opened up like it used to.
Problem solved!!! Took a little fishing, but it worked out. Being windows savvy helped a lot.
Thanks for responding phantom DJ.
