Topic: Cloud Syncing for filter list issue
Hi everyone,

I’m trying to set up cloud syncing between two computers using CloudDrive (Google).

On PC1, where I prepare my music, I want to synchronize the entire catalog of Tidal tracks from my library with CloudDrive, so I can use it on PC2, which is the one I actually perform from.

To achieve this, I created a filter folder that automatically updates my entire Tidal library whenever I add new tracks. On this main (filtered) list, I enabled one-way CloudDrive synchronization (Google).

On PC1, the CloudDrive folder shows that everything is fully synchronized.
However, on PC2, CloudDrive only displays tracks that were already present in the database, and it does not show newly added tracks that haven’t yet existed in that database.

If the database on PC2 is completely empty, CloudDrive on PC2 doesn’t show any tracks at all.

What am I doing wrong, and how can I make this setup work as intended?
For static playlists (non-filter lists), CloudDrive syncing works correctly — the problem only appears with filter folders.

Thanks in advance for any advice or workaround!

A filter folder is synchronized as-is (it synchronizes the filter, not the songs found by the filter)
So to sync the songs, you'd need to create a regular list, and copy the songs from the filter folder to this regular list, and sync that list as well.

I see, thank you for the feedback !

Best regards !

Continuing the topic — after following your instructions, the synchronization started working (Thanks!), but I noticed another issue. The FilePath field, which I used to filter Tidal files, changed from FilePath=Tidal to FilePath=Clouddrive(), which means I also need to update the filtering for Tidal files.

As a side note, the FileType field was cleared (it previously contained the record TIDAL), but filtering by this field didn’t work before anyway.

Another issue is that after closing VirtualDJ, the entire Tidal Cloud folder (which syncs with the cloud) disappears from in_searchdb when the program is restarted, and I have to add it again manually.

Could you explain why this happens?

For filters, you can use Online=1, or Provider is Tidal I think?
Not sure why they would be removed from the search db though

Thanks for the filtering tips — both methods work!

However, 'in_searchdb' doesn’t work on either PC. I get the same result after closing and restarting VDJ. (even with the clean db) Maybe it’s some kind of bug...
