Topic: Reloop RP8000 MK2 + PHASE HID Pitch Slider conflit
Hi,
Just got my hands on the RP8000MK2 (latest firmware) while i do enjoy the accuracy of the digital pitch being brought forward in virtual dj, it is in conflit with the pitch sent by Phase in HID mode (latest firmware)
Moving the tempo slider on the Turntable causes VDJ to react to the MIDI message sent by turntable and then when phase sends the increase in speed the temp moves again by the same increment.

Example Increasing by +4 from turntable, tempo slider increases by +4 in VDJ, Phase sends information about increase by 4+, VDJ increase by +4 again, causing Tempo change of +8% instead of desired +4. Same goes when the Tempo is decreased.

Trying to work on a script to fix this but a fix on the next update would be a more permanent solution.

It would be nice to have an option to allow users to choose between using the signal from the Tempo slider or Phase HID info as some may not like the Digital pitch being in control when using Turntables.

Yes, that's something was not predicted when the RP was mapped (Phase didnt exist back then).
I guess you can just remap the PITCH of the RP-8000 to just .. timecode_pitch , or even nothing if all u use is PHASE and not regular DVS.

Thanks for the suggestion. I already set it to nothing while trying to write a proper script for it.

Wouldn't the timecode_pitch still cause a conflit with phase HID?

The idea of having the RP8000 to change the pitch instantaneously when using timecode vinyl is something i would like to have as it gets rid of the delay caused by timecode analysis when using turntables.

Any script suggestions to take into account phase and still keep using the pitch when phase isn't connected?

Eventually this is something that was not predicted but will there be a fix in future updates someday?
