Topic: Date added/First seen tag doesn't work correctly for flac files
Somehow, sorting a list of tracks on when they were added, leads to problems, because flac files display a date consisting of day and month and time, instead of the usual yyyy/mm/dd.
So for example, a flac file that has the correct tag for "first seen" will, in the browser, show a value of "02/25 00:00" instead of MP3 files that (with seemingly the same date added information) would show "2025/02/25". This makes selecting tracks to play based on when you added them challenging.

Where are the flac files coming from? Do you create them yourself or download them from somewhere?

Do you use a tag editor like Mp3tag?

I use flac files that I create with Exact Audio Copy and I don't have that problem in VDJ.
 
These are imported from rekordbox, using lexicon as app to transfer the database. For mp3 files all goes right, but flac files get this strange notation, even though in the VDJ tag editor everything seems correct.
 
Oh and i did check all files with mp3 tag, but it seems like this date added/first seen tag is not part of the tracks tags, but just in the RB/VDJ database.
 
Do you actually have an mp3 with the same date?
Normally the display changes depending on how long ago.
If it's more recent than the last 6 months, the year is not shown, but there's room to show the time as you noticed.
