I cannot get any Mic output from my Pioneer DDJ-800 to go through my NVIDIA HDMI to my Yamaha Receiver/Sharp TV. I've checked that the Mic is in Software Mode. I've checked the firmware and drivers. Also, when I change the input to Pioneer WASAPI and select apply I get a sound card error.
I can get audio to register on the DDJ--800, just no audio output.
When using Rekordbox I can get the audio through the software. Am I missing a setting in VirtualDJ?

Please set the MIC to software mode in controller settings https://www.virtualdj.com/manuals/hardware/pioneer/ddj800/settings.html#2021
Then take a screenshot of your audio settings and post it here.
I don't know how you have things configured, but in general you should use the DDJ-800 default audio setup as described here https://www.virtualdj.com/manuals/hardware/pioneer/ddj800/installation.html and just add an extra "master" output, in which you would configure the HDMI output.
Remarks:
1) If I remember correclty, MIC inputs are not accessible via WASAPI drivers. You will need to use ASIO to use them
2) You should configure your laptop to use your latop speakers (and MIC) as the default WINDOWS playback and recording devices. This will prevent Windows from claiming resources on the DDJ-800 that can lead to ASIO errors.
3) You want to keep the original master audio output to DDJ-800 as it's needed for headphone mixing to work correctly
4) Most likely the HDMI (and your receiver/TV set) will introduce an extra latency/delay on sound.
That's why it's crucial to have correct monitoring on your headphones, because most likely you will need it.
To hear the "master" audio channel you need to press the MASTER PFL button, and turn the HEADPHONES MIX knob all way to the right.

Here are the Audio Settings. I have selected In 1 (mono) but I've tried other channels here.

You have instructions above which u need to follow (adding an extra master to the default Audio setup)
The mic 1 input of the DDJ-800 is on Chan 5 btw, not 1, but try the instructions above.

Is MIC EQ set properly ?
https://www.virtualdj.com/manuals/hardware/pioneer/ddj800/layout/mixer.html#mixer
Knobs 20 and 21 ?
Generally speaking, please read the description of elements 20 to 24 as they are responcible for the MIC.
Also keep in mind that you need to use dynamic mics on your controller.
Finally, in case your amplifier applies any effects on sound, please disable them.

Google 'HDMI delay' and you can read all about it.
