Topic: Pioneer XDJ XZ pitch fader not alligned to 0%
I just got a Pioneer XDJ XZ and the pitch fader on deck one (left deck) does NOT aliignn with the 0% pitch mark.
Its around 4-5 mm off (see photo attached)

Is the anyway it can be calibrated of fixed in Virtual DJ?

Looking forward to hearing from you !

Is the fader off center using USBs or Rekordbox?

Generally the fader is just a Mdid signal so if its off it could likely be the hardware

Yes it's off in genaral. So it's hardware issue!
But.. Can we correct it with mapping?

action_deck 1 ? param_add -0.03 & pitch : pitch

it depends on how it's actually faulty for the right fix, this is rough guess, if it's only started doing this recently try clean the fader before anything else.

Thank you so much !!!

Not sure cleaning would help as its a brand new machine.
I beilive its hardware issue but i really dont want to send this in for service as im sure they will end up scratching it up !

I will try this later when i get home.

Is there any other instructions i need ?

If it's brand new send it back.

I will try to sort it with the mapping you gave me !!!

Thanks once again :)

action_deck 1 ? param_add +0.03 & pitch : pitch

This now centers the pitch fader to 0%

Thanks once again !

But i have now lost the ability to pitch down the same amount that i cant pitch up. For example if my pitch max tempto is set to 10% the max i can pitch down too is 9.40% but i can pitch up too 10% as normal.

Is there a way to fix this too ???

Much appriciated as alway

like I said, for an accurate fix it needs to be known exactly how "off" it is, with a condition query on reported position, a multiplier, an add|subtract you could get a full +- range, but it's on you to figure the maths out as only you have the "off" numbers

OK, im not very technical, nor good at mathsbut here is my findings which i hope will help:

Keep in mind the pitch fader on the right deck is fine, so we are only talking about the pitch fader on the left .

The pitch fader issitting on the 0% mark on the body of the controller :
When pitch is range is on +-6 the controller deplay reads - 0.48%
When the pitch range is on +-10 the controller display reads -0.79%
When the pitch range is on +-16 the controller display reads -2.27%
When the pitch range is on WIDE the controller display reads -7.9%

On all the above readings the pitch can go full + and full -

When i mapped the fader to this : action_deck 1 ? param_add +0.03 & pitch : pitch

It corrected the position of the fader to 0% but when i lower the pitch to its lowest point on

+-6 its reads on the controller display -5.64%
+-10 it reads on the controller display -9.40
+-16 it reads on the controller display -15.04%
WIDE it reads on the contoller display -94.0%

So i have lost full minus range

Plus range works normally

I hope this is what you needed !!!

Thanks once again !

action_deck 1 ? param_multiply 1.19047 & pitch : pitch

If it's not that then it's up to you to trial and error, do you really care about precision that far down a slider?
