I opened the POI editor, but found no way to skip part of a song.
I can edit a song in an audio editor, but I was hoping I could make such changes in VirtualDJ.
How can I skip part of a song? (a) live, (b) pre-mixed?

(b)(1) Sounds like you want the track cleaner that can cut sections out of tracks http://www.virtualdj.com/manuals/virtualdj/editors/trackcleaner.html
(2) you could also use the poi editor and make an action cue with a script like this
goto +64
(a) you can also jump live with the goto +YOURVALUE action mapped to a button

Most common way "live" is just setting hot-cue(s).
Those will let you easily jump around, and skip parts of songs..
And if you feel not confident enough on skipping to parts live , you can set globalQuantize to 1 in settings , and it should sound good :)
(and leave default "smart cue" on )
(for "pre mixed" you can do same logic, in POI Editor, simply set action points that goes to cue point somewhere else in the song)
