Ok so I've discovered that home djing is a new hobby of mine. I bought a behringer djx700 from a friend and he gave me his version of virtual dj with it (virtual dj pro 5.2). Ive used virtual dj before but without a mixer. I've been trying to figure out how to correctly setup virtual dj to work with the djx700. However, i dont know which usb to rca component i should buy. I dont have turntables and dont plan on being able to afford any, anytime soon. So could someone please give me a step by step on how to correctly setup my mixer with virtual dj? Like which rca goes to which in and out etc.

If this helps at all, i just want a small setup, computer, mixer and speakers. Please I really want to make this work.

Thanks

If your friend has given you his licensed copy then that is illegal and a violation of the software End User License Agreement (EULA): http://www.virtualdj.com/atomixproductions/disclaimer.html

EULA wrote :

This license does NOT allow you to:
- rent, lease, sell, lend, distribute, publish, bundle or sublicense the Software or any part of it.
- rent, lease, sell, lend or distribute hardware on which the Software is installed, unless specifically authorised by Atomix.
- electronically transfer the Software from one computer to another or over a network.
- decompile, reverse engineer, disassemble, or otherwise reduce the Software to a human-perceivable form.
- modify the Software or create derivative works based upon the Software.

If this is the case please stop using the software illegally and purchase your own legitimate license: http://www.virtualdj.com/buy/index.html

You can also try the official trial version for 20 days if you have not already done so: http://www.virtualdj.com/download/trial.html

To use your external mixer with VirtualDJ, you will either need two sound cards or a sound card with multiple outputs such as a 5.1/6.1 surround sound card or a dedicated DJ sound card such as Numark DJIO.

NOTE: A full legitimate licensed version of VirtualDJ Professional is required to use an external mixer.
