Topic: Mixing stereo while recording ??

I wonder how and if its possible that the mix i record on my HD will be in stereo when i prelisten with headphones?
Usually you would need 2 soundcards for this (or one with more than 2 channels)
How does the DJ Console accomplish this? As far as i know the Console uses only its own build-in single soundcard?
The only logical conclusion would be that the resulting mix (when using headphones) is only mono ?

?? Really strange conclusion.
VirtualDJ recorded mix are stereo mix.

First, make the difference between the output sound and the sound produced by VDJ internaly to operate.
VDJ should work with stereo mix and stereo pre-listening (inside the program I mean).
I am not sure but it should be possible to record a mix WITHOUT a sound card! (I'm ok, it will be hard to make a good mix :p )

Moreover, the DJ Console has 3 stereo outputs (6 channels).
So I really don't see you problem.

Maybe I have not understoud you problem so feel free to explain it with more details.
