Topic: crossfader doesn't move to the right position

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

i had 3 djconsoles already, all 3 had this same problem

when i move the crossfader to the upmost right position, it doesn't move the fader to the upmost position in VDJ

you can use your mouse to put it one more tiny bit to the right, so that the left deck is completely muted as it should be.

Have you noticed this also?, please let us know
if not, can you do the test.

- go into 5.1 mode
- set volume high of both decks/channels
- put/play music on the left deck (and no music on right deck)
- turn crossfader to right position

listen...

if you hear the left deck, there is the problem, please reply and let us know.

Had a similar problem. Cross fader, pitch and volume controls weren't fully functional. Cross fader refused to scroll incrementally or move to the left deck.

I was actually in the process of returning the unit when I decided to uninstall and the reinstall all the drivers and Virtual Dj software.

Suprisingly, everything began to work, the cross fader became fully functional.

My advise to you would be to uninstal and reinstall all the drivers and the Dj software you plan to use. I'd all install the Direct X 9 that came on the CD; you may have a older version.

Good luck,

ok i have just done it, totally remove anything an reinstalling, also install dirextx 9a, but what i expected, it doesn't change anything.

i could have known that because you had a complete different problem.

have you done the test?

does your hardware scrossfader move the software crossfader to the upmost right position?

when moved to the right, and play a song on left while not on right, is the left completely muted?

let me/us know

It worked for me. The only thing thats still not working properly is the right jog wheel. It only recognises on direction of movement.

from what i've read it could be a hardware problem.

Spoke to Hercules and I'm sending the Dj console in for it to be fixed or to get a refund.

I'd call hercules customer support and see what they have to say about it.

take care and G.luck.
