I recently upgraded my laptop. Now when I connect my controller, the music pauses for a few seconds randomly then starts again. I seem to remember seeing or hearing such issues may be incompatibility between the USB 2 or the controller and USB 3 of the laptop (despite it supposedly being backwards compatible).
Can anyone recommend a convertor to fix this issue?

This is totally normal, USB 3.x are not fully USB 1.x or 2.x backwards compatible
the data flow can be interrupted with 3.x when it is permanent with previous versions
the solution being to use a USB 2.x hub

Not 'normal' at all, and only an issue with usb controllers in the first few years after USB 3 was available afaik.

yes that's right but a lot of "old" devices have this issue, not "normal" but common ;)

Thanks everyone - on further investigation, the issue is the ASIO driver for the controller - Behringer only provide an 8.1 driver and so Windows 10 doesn't see to work. Might be time for a new controller :(
