I wish there was a way in preferences, for users to specify the way that VDJ interprets filenames and then to be able (from a menu item) to reinterpret a list of songs based on your preference setting.
For example:-
ALBUM"-"TRACKNUMBER" - "ARTIST" - "TITLE
I know you can edit tags, but it is frustrating when your library is all formatted correctly and then incorrectly interpretted in VDJ. Editing tags is very time consuming, especially when the files are all named correctly and consistently. It is particularly noticeable as a problem with video files that don't have the ID3 tag stored, my suggestion would solve this issue!
This is my only niggle with an otherwise, fantastic bit of software. I am sure there are other users, particularly karaoke hosts, which would support this request!

not sure what you meant by "incorrectly interpreted" (or where...)
But assuming you mean how it displayed in browser, if you turn off getRemixWhenParsingFilenames it shows better for you?
The remix parse assumes the most common ways of file names/tags :
artist feat singer - trackname (remix name)
