Topic: Do Not Change Tempo of Song in Player Automatically

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

This is probably a simple question, but I'd like for the tempo of songs added to the player to stay true rather than automatically adjust the tempo to match that of a song in the other player(s).

I've found thate there are actually three settings for handling automatic pitch/BPM changes in different situations

I've made a short video about how to change/disable them:

That's exactly the help I needed. Thank you so much.

I normally would not want any of those options enabled, however is there a way to auto match a bpm while mixing, as needed?

For example; track 1 is 100 bpm and you start mixing in track 2. You then increase the bpm of track 1 to 110 bpm. Other than constantly hitting sync, is there a way for track 2 to match that increase real time?

Try turning on "beatlock"...

Unless if your using turntables or cdjs not in midi mode it won't work.

Yes, try the beatlock feature.
It's on the scratch pane

It's actually the subject of the latest "Virtual Dj Tip of the day" video (together with the older pitchlock feature)
