Topic: Mapping-Command to set a Cue-Point as Saved Loop ?

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

Hello everyone,

does anybody knows the mapping-command to set an fixed Cue-Point (Cue 6) as Type "Saved Loop" with a length of 16 beats.

Tried some variations. Everytime VDJ sets Cue 6 as Hot-Cue and the saved loop as marker.

And I want it, as it is shown in the Screenshot, because when I jump to that Cue-Point, it automatically activates the defined loop, when I need it.

Mixing Greetz,
Michael

does cue point 6 already exist or are you writing on the fly

I want to set it with the mapping-command, too and as fixed, not temporarily on the fly.
If I get a new song, I set all my cue-points to get a better mix at the gig.
So to start at the right point in the grid, I want to set a Cue-Point as Saved Loop.

For better understanding, what the command should do:
1. Set Cue Point 6
2. Change Cue-"Type" (as to see in the POI-Editor) from "Hot Cue" to "Saved Loop" (This is my problem !)
3. Set "Cue" to "Cue 6" (POI-Editor) (Problem, too !)
4. Change the Cue-Color to "White"
5. Set the "Point Option" to "16 Beats" with "No Slot"

Don't write hotcue 6 instead get into position and press a button with this on

loop 16 & loop_save 'anfangsloop = 16' & loop_color 'anfangsloop = 16' 'white' & loop 16

the only thing you'll need to do then is 3. Set "Cue" to "Cue 6"

It would be better if you used slots and had a query on your hotcue 6 button to check if there was anything on loop slot 1 if true call the loop if not call hotcue 6,

there may be other ways but I can't think of one

Hmmm....thanks, loco.
This is a way I found, but it only sets the Loop as marker.

Thought, that there is a way to do everything automatically, but it seems, that there is no mapping-command to change the Cue-Type to Saved Loop.

BTW: In my files Cue 6 is "reserved" for Saved Loops :-)
