Topic: Four rules for non club events (weddings, birthdays, etc.)

1. In the early part thin out your sound, set your speakers to speech. If your speakers don't have controls then turn that bass way down.

2. Never make any announcements while the music is playing...

3. Play a few or several songs of the same type...for example play 70s, move on to another decade and play a few or several, and so on.

4. Don't cut the song out...let it play, you are not creating a mix you are playing music.

Exactly what I did this past weekend. "Non-club" event at a home. 6 hours non-stop. I started with my hand-picked current top40 set. Once I ran out, I went to my 70's, then 80's, some 90's catchy tunes. I even loaded up some Latin dance tracks towards the last hour. They loved it.

thank you that help. I always say a wedding is not a club. I am a farmer and do dj on a weekend.
