Topic: Exclusive Audio Access Popping sounds

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

I bought Denon MC4000 controller today, I am running VDJ 8.1 Pro Build 2587.1086 on a Dell quad core 8 gb running windows 8.1. Everything was plug and play and worked fantastic. I was messing around and noticed that the Exclusive Audio Access was turned off. Probably by me a few months ago. I turned it on and then suddenly I was getting strange popping sounds from the Main out, and the Head phone jack. I disconnected the controller and just used the head phone jack on my laptop and the sound was fine. turn off Exclusive audio access and everything woks great. Any suggestions? thanks.

Edit. All drivers are up to date, I also tried changing the USB cable.
Edit. firmware is up to date, I have tried changing latency with no luck

What is the latency? You can manually increase the latency for exclusive audio mode by setting the 'latency' option yourself. Try various values like 128, 256, 512 and see at which point you don't get the noises anymore.

Latency is set to Automatic. I tried those three #'s with no change. I'm currently working on upgrading the Firmware.

Was there a solution to this problem? I'm having the same issues.
