I'm running VDJ 8.1 on Mac (El Capitan), and can't get colored waveforms (only shows as grey).
I tried changing setting (tried all monochrome, neutral, etc). Closed & reopened VDJ. Even deleted VDJ folder in my home directory to force a new VDJ folder creation.
I've tried on both Yosemite & El Capitan on different Macs. No luck.
Plus when I click on "Scratch" from center of mixer area, I got no waveforms displayed in that section at all.

I think this could be due to your computers graphics card. I've always had the same grey waveforms on my Windows 7 desktop PC, but on my laptop the waveforms are in colour. I think my laptop has a better on board graphics card than my pc. I could be wrong but that's the conclusion I came to.

That's odd since you are on a Intel-based Mac. What are the years on your Macs?

Sorry I should have added that my laptop is a dell Inspiron and it's also running on Windows 7.

BTW - I've never had issues with colored waveforms in the past (both VDJ 7 & 8 had worked fine).
Issue appeared after an update. Unfortunately, don't recall which one.
