overall improved stability?
Um what exactly, i don't really want to upgrade to 8.1 with all its clutter, so what am i missing re overall improved stability

v8.1 - build 2582 (2015-11-20)
-Fix slicer length not restored on restart
-Fix systray icon not removed on exit on windows 10
-Add 'Content Unlimited' text above content unlimited search results
-Fix issue with random video transition getting stuck on Droplets transition
-Add 'Restore' option for internal plugins moved to Ignore folder
-browser_sort action updates second order sort (same as clicking column headers)
-fix invert_deck for deck 4
-fix bug when adding a recursive folder with filter folder inside to sideview
-fixed deep recursion bug
-browser_scroll can be used with percentage (browser_scroll 50%)
-fix possible lockup on internet downloads
-sampler_group_volume ghost slider fix
-Genres can also be delimited by / now, not only ;
-Fix for HID encoders when overflowing
-Midi bar output accepts boolean as well (for on/off support)
-New VDJScript verb 'is_audioonlyvisualisation' which will return true if the deck currently has the audioOnlyVisualisation active
-Fix empty picture sometimes when video is loaded but busy seeking

The above list doesn't list all the stability improvement, it mostly lists changes in features or specific fixes.
We also fixed a lot of potential uncommon crashes and bugs.
And the new features do not take any resources until you actually open the folders concerned (and you can hide these folders if you don't need them).
So we do recommend to update to 8.1, even if you do not intend to use the new features.

If you still have the old build you want a backup of installed on your laptop, just copy the virtualdj8.exe from there.

Found it on a backup drive.
I,m sure nothing is wrong with current build, but as i know my current config works, i don't feel the need to change, a bit like i,m happy with win 8.1 and not using win 10.
I am putting current version on too but i want to know i can fall back at a gig if needed when i do try 8.1
