This part of topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information

I want to remove the following under the iTunes folder in VDJ 8.1:

Music Videos
Rentals
Home Videos
Books
PDF's
Audiobooks

Please tell me how to do this.

At this point you cannot manually remove entry by entry.
But we added in the next build that the few lists that are for sure unwanted in a DJ software, will be hidden automatically.
Thank you for the suggestion.

Changelog:
...
-Remove clutter from iTunes root folder (Books, PDFs, Apps, etc...)
...
Mac OS X El Capitain Version 10.11.1/VDJ b.2585:
seems not to work. I guess the DEVS didn't take care about other language..

- Bücher
- Hörbücher
- Sprachmemos
- Leihobjekte
-TV-Sendungen
- Filme
-...etc
should not appear imO.

It's not in a build yet I believe, should be part of the next release.

No new build here. And I have the new build option set to yes.

So maybe the devs can lighten up some things here?

Indeed the extra iTunes Playlists are currently excluded based on their names. Only English names have been filtered out at the moment, and not sure if Dev Team will find a way to exclude names based on other languages (imagine how many available languages exist ;) ). Perhaps this could be done via the language.xml but will let Team answer to this.
Anyways, for now, its just English names.

Hi DjDad,
thanks for this info; bad news for german users (and all not english dj in the world).
Hope there will be a fix over the language xml....

What about doing something via the VDJ config? Have an area where users can enter the names of the folders they don't want to see.

[Not trying to rub it in] Super happy that most options were removed, Thank you. But "Audiobooks" is still there.

Yes probably this folder was named as Audio Books (with a space) in some previous versions. The Audiobooks folder will be removed in next update as well.
Thanks for your feedback.

Hi there,

Sorry to add more salt !!

I'm still showing;
Films
Home Videos
Audiobooks
Voice Memos

Maybe it would be better if somewhere in settings (or else where) there was a Tree Structure of all iTunes Playlists and we can just tick/select those we wish to appear. That way we can filter by our selves and it would cope with Non-English versions.
