As mentioned in the release notes, a mandatory firmware update is required. Just like when updating your computer's BIOS, this is a delicate operation that should not be taken lightly, so be sure to carefully follow the on-screen instructions.
Note that if you are the owner of older devices (such as the DJ Console Rmx), a powered USB hub might also be necessary for your console to be recognized properly on recent Intel based system.

I installed the new drivers and firmware upgrade for DJ4 Set, but still in Windows 8.1 the controller didn't work directly with USB 3.0. I have to use an USB 2.0 Hub.
Mi PC is a Vaio Pro with Intel 8 series chipset. Is this normal?

Formatting and new Win8.1 install proved unsuccessful. COnsole is light-blipping. New drivers don't do anything. What a shame.

Have you tried using a powered USB hub ?

I plugged the console on my 8.1 fresh install, got the USB 3.0 "device not properly recognized" error :(

That being said, VDJ 3.1 is REALLY old and it is quite likely that it will not work properly under Windows 8.1. You are in need of an upgrade my friend.

If it was a PRO version you need to contact Atomix support and give them the email address you purchased the licence against.
